I stayed at this hotel and found the rooms to be ordinary but very clean and tidy. They were a reasonable size for the price, and despite looking a bit dated, they were clean and comfortable enough. I particularly appreciated the tea-making facilities and the wireless Internet modem with its own password. Overall, the room was perfectly decent for a base to explore the city.

Service

The staff here were friendly and helpful, going the extra mile by assisting us with communication as we didn't speak much Japanese. I especially want to highlight the trainees Cloe and Kosuke for their capable and friendly service.

I found the location of the hotel very nice, as it was within walking distance to the main downtown area, yet away from the rush. Being close to key bus stops made it convenient to explore the local attractions, and the proximity to various interesting areas added to its appeal.
Dining
7.0
The dining options here were reasonably priced, but the limited variety in the menu made it feel repetitive. While the quality was good, it wasn't particularly filling for the price.
Facilities

The hotel facilities were standard for a Japanese business hotel, providing the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is situated in a bustling area near plenty of bars and restaurants, making it convenient for exploring Kyoto. The rooms, while on the smaller side, are immaculately clean and stocked with all essentials, reminiscent of standard Japanese hotel rooms. The service is exceptionally warm and helpful, offering amenities like dry cleaning and housekeeping. The location is a short walk from key attractions and public transportation hubs, ensuring easy access to all that Kyoto has to offer. The dining experience, though reasonably priced, could use improvements in comparison to Japanese offerings. Overall, the hotel provides good value for the price paid.

The room I stayed in was quite small, which is typical for Japanese hotels, but it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a work space, TV, and a small refrigerator. A highlight was the view of the clean Kyoto street and the lovely shading door.

The dining experience, particularly the 'European breakfast,' was not as nice as expected given the pricing. Comparing the cost to the value offered for their Japanese style breakfast could lead to enhancements in this area.
